Bring rioters to book, restore harmony
(China Daily)

A mob in Urumqi lost all reason and conscience to unleash the worst form of violence on innocent people. Separatists based outside the country orchestrated the mayhem that has sent shockwaves throughout the country. The bloody riots are a reminder that some anti-China forces are still active outside the country and would stoop to any level to disrupt the country's harmony and stability. Under the tacit direction of some Western countries, some people have always tried to split the motherland, and to fulfill their dirty goal they are ready to even put hundreds of innocent lives to death. But the current peace and development is irreversible, and the country's stability and development is the common aspiration of all Chinese people. The country should deal a ruthless blow to the rioters and those who instigated them. This would serve not only as a basic precondition for Xinjiang's social stability and economic development, but also be a great contribution to the world harmony. History has repeatedly shown that people in Xinjiang, irrespective of which ethnic group they belong to, abhor violence and would not tolerate those perpetrating it.
