China's central government has called for a saving on government car expenses after costs hit 150 billion to 200 billion yuan per year ($21.9 billion to $29.2 billion), Outlook Weekly reported today.
The administrative fund in China has increased by 100 billion yuan ($14.6 billion) per year since 2005 and amounted to 900 billion yuan ($131 billion) since 2007, with government car expenses making up a huge bulk.
Currently, China reportedly has two million government cars and every car cost about 80,000 to 100,000 yuan ($11,716 to $14,645) per year.
