NANCHANG: Nanchang, capital of east China's Jiangxi Province, will have seven extra direct return charter flights to Taiwan over the Chinese Lunar New Year travel peak.
China Eastern Airline's Jiangxi branch issued a statement Thursday, saying it would operate all seven flights, which will all return the same day.
The city has had one weekly direct flight to Taiwan every Thursday since September last year. As of December 31, 2009, a total of 18 flights have taken off.
Altogether 10 direct flights will run between Nanchang and Taiwan during the Chinese Lunar New Year travel peak from February 1 to 27.
