Housing prices in China's 70 major cities increased by 1.5 percent year-on-year in 2009, according to figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics February 25.
Data shows that the price of newly-built residential housing rose by 1.5 percent and the price of second-hand housing was up by 2.4 percent in these cities in 2009 while leasing price was down by 0.6 percent.
