BEIJING: A 5.1-magnitude earthquake hit the sea off the eastern Taiwan coast on Friday morning, according to the China Earthquake Administration (CEA).
The earthquake occurred at 9:07 am (Beijing time). The epicenter was 23.8 degrees north latitude and 122.8 degrees east longitude, with a depth of eight kilometers, off the coast of Hualien in Taiwan, said the CEA.
There was no instant report of casualties.
