BEIJING - Google will have to answer for the consequence if it insists in doing what violates China's laws and regulations, a senior Chinese official warned Friday.

Li made the remarks at a press conference on the sidelines of the annual parliament session.
Google said earlier this week it was firm in the decision to "stop censoring our search results for China" and that it was "prepared" to leave the country if that was the option.
