737 receive money for reporting Internet porn

A total of 737 people have received prize money totaling 766,000 yuan ($112, 219) after reporting Internet porn cases since the launch of a tip-off and prize money system on December 12, 2009, according to authorities of the Internet bureau under the State Council Information Office, china.com.cn reported Wednesday.

The tip-off and prize money system proved to be effective as over 540,000 leads and tips-off have been provided by the public.

The public can report Internet porn cases to four agencies: China Internet Illegal Information Reporting Center (http://net.china.com.cn/), Internet Illegal Information Reporting Website under the Ministry of the Public Security (http://www.cyberpolice.cn/), 12321 reporting hot line and the National Office against Pornographic and Illegal Publications.
