BEIJING - China said Thursday its borders with some neighbors like Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan remained operational as usual.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu made the comment at a regular news briefing here, responding to a reporter's question about the media reports that China would temporarily close the borders with its neighbors like Kyrgyzstan in a bid to tighten security ahead of the opening of the Shanghai World Expo.
"China's borders with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are operating as usual," she told reporters.
