With the opening of the Iraq Pavilion on June 1, all of the 145 pavilions of the 2010 World Expo have started operation.

A total of 304,500 visitors visited the Expo site on June 1 with 41,816 tickets sold on site.

The Latvia Pavilion and Libya Pavilion closed on June 1 due to air-conditioner testing and interior decoration.

Among the visitors, about 115,000 were on group tours, accounting for about 38 percent of June 1's visitor flow. Houtan gate received as many as 62,000 visitors, Changqing Road 51,000, and Shangnan Road and Gaoke Road W. 83,000 in total.

By 5pm on June 1, 69 performances had been staged, attracting about 87,978 visitors. Altogether 4,530 volunteers served on the site.
