Full-blown Expo fever continued amid fine weather, with 500,000-plus attendance for a third consecutive day on June 8, 2010.
A total of 507,200 visitors packed the Expo site, a surge of nearly 200,000 compared with the figure of last Tuesday.
About 160,000 were on group tours, accounting for about 32 percent of yesterday's visitor flow. Around 75,000 visitors used their free tickets, a rise of 14,000 from a day earlier.
Houtan gate received 90,000 visitors, Changqing Road 75,000, and Shangnan Road, Gaoke Road W. 145,000 in total.
As of 7pm, 57,507 tickets were sold on site, with 16,460 night admissions.
A total of 85 shows were staged by 5pm, attracting more than 100,000 spectators.
