Chengdu Information Solutions Center has been completed at the incubation park of Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone. The center, jointly established by Dell and Intel, contains leading technologies for education, medical treatment, cloud computing, and mobile government. It is also the first information solutions center in west China.
All computers and servers at the center are equipped with Intel framework processors, including Intel Atom processors, Intel Core processors, and Intel Xeon processors. Many of Dell’s solutions have already been implemented in China. Almost 70 schools around the country are using the "mobile clinical calculation," solutions successfully tested at Huaxi Hospital not long ago, and the brand-new Dell tablet PC Streak. Dell supplies customers with a sound platform for experiments and tests.
Li Guoqing, Dell's global vice-president and public relations general manager, said the Chengdu Information Solutions Center will be mainly engaged in the businesses of education, medical treatment and government. The Center will learn from experiences of foreign markets, and promote its products in the cities of Xi'an and Kunming.
This is another major investment following the settlement of the Dell global operation base that integrates production, sales and client service in March 2011. Dell (China) is said to realize 50 percent growth in the fields of education, medical treatment and government in the first financial quarter of 2012 financial year.
