SHIJIAZHUANG - An explosion caused by privately stored explosives in North China's Hebei province early Saturday has left seven people dead and four injured, local authorities said.
The accident occurred around 1:30 am at a village in Xingtang county of Shijiazhuang city, according to a statement from the local publicity department.
Rescue work and investigation into the cause of the accident are under way.
