City offers free marriage certificates

Nanjing in East China’s Jiangsu province started offering free marriage certificates, which normally cost 9 yuan ($1.4), China National Radio reported.
A marriage certificate usually costs 9 yuan in China, but in Shanghai it was reduced to 5 yuan. Free marriage certificates are now available in five districts in Nanjing, which is considered a convenience for newlyweds.
