China-EU political parties talk challenges

Participants attend the third China-EU High Level Political Parties Forum in Brussels, Belgium May 29, 2012. The forum, themed "How can China and the EU cooperate to meet common challenges," offered a platform for officials of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and political leaders from the EU to exchange ideas on a broad range of issues, including trade, economy, and governance. Li Jinjun, vice minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, said the forum has helped build political trust and facilitate cooperation between China and the EU after it started as an inter-party mechanism in 2010.
