Extra first-aid for CPC national congress

More than 10 areas in Beijing will have additional first-aid facilities during the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China starting on November 8, Beijing Times reported.
Major areas including Tian'anmen Square, Olympic Green, National Stadium and the Meridian Gate of the Forbidden City will have more emergency workers and ambulances, according to a meeting held by the Red Cross Society of Beijing on Wednesday.
All the 130 first-aid stations and 200 ambulances of the 999 Emergency Center, which is affiliated to the Red Cross Society, will be on duty during the congress, the report said.
The center will jointly cooperate with other hotline numbers such as 110 for police and 120 for ambulance. Volunteers will also assist during the congress.
In a meeting on September 28, the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee proposed convening the 18th CPC national congress on November 8 in Beijing.
