Knifeman wanted after killing 5, injuring 3
ZHENGZHOU - Police in Central China's Henan province has issued a warrant for the arrest of a man who allegedly killed five people and injured another three on Thursday.
Ding Jinhua, 38, who runs a furniture shop in Luohe city, stabbed three people to death on Thursday noon in Dazhuzhuang village, Xiping county, according to the provincial public security department.
Ding later drove back to the furniture market and killed a businesswoman. He then killed a taxi driver outside the market and drove away the taxi. Ding hijacked a second taxi later after injuring the driver with a knife. Police did not disclose information of the other two injured.
Ding, 1.75 meters high and with glasses, fled with the taxi. Police is still hunting for him.
Police of Xiping county are offering rewards of 20,000 yuan ($3,240) for clues to locate the hijacked taxi, and rewards of 50,000 yuan for clues leading to the capture of the suspect.
