The dispute over Diaoyu Islands is like opening a Pandora's box, and the stalemate between China and Japan is expected to last for a long time. The non-governmental exchange has never been so important while it’s hard for leaders of both countries to have a dialogue. China and Japan should have discussions over the Diaoyu Islands dispute and work together on issues like anti-air pollution, nuclear leaks, and energy cooperation.
