Teacher sacked for telling students to slap each other

A teacher at a Shanghai primary school has been dismissed for asking a class of pupils to slap each other after he became angry with several who were naughty, Shanghai Morning Post reported.

Li Shichao, who was in charge of a class of fourth-grade pupils at Xiaokang Primary School in Qingpu district, ordered the 50 children to slap each other.

The school's administrative staff members have apologized to the pupils' parents. Psychological counseling has been provided for the students.
