Ten people, including seven officials, were under investigation over a bridge collapse in Sichuan province which claimed the lives of five people with seven others missing, People's Daily reported on Wednesday.
The bridge, in Jiangyou city, collapsed on July 9, five days after it went into service.
Six vehicles plunged into river when the bridge collapsed.
Investigations, involving traffic, city planning and taxation departments, are continuing.
The Supreme People's Procuratorate will supervise the investigation, the report said.
