More than 60 percent of juvenile respondents in a survey in Hong Kong, Macao and Guangzhou have suffered cyber-violence, a report says.
The report, which covered some 2,400 juveniles with an average age of 16 in the three cities, also found that they spend 161 minutes each day surfing the Internet, and more than 63 percent of them own smartphones.
Cyber-violence affecting juveniles includes harassment, defamation, abuse and exposure of private affairs, according to the report.
Most juveniles would seek helps from friends when they suffer from cyber-violence, the report says.
The report was released on Nov 11 by the Guangzhou Youth Culture Palace, Hong Kong Playground Association and Macao Union for Promoting Progress.
