Fujian province has banned males from entering female students' dormitories at primary and middle schools.
The guideline, jointly released by several agencies including local education and public security authorities, aims to eradicate sexual assaults, Strait Metropolis Daily reported on Wednesday.
All men, including male teachers and students' fathers, are prohibited from entering female students' dormitories without approval of the dorm managers, according to the report.
The guideline also urged primary and middle schools to provide sex education to teach students to protect themselves from sexual assault.
