Beijing does not use the hepatitis B vaccine that is suspected of having caused several deaths of infants, said the city's disease control and prevention center on Monday.
Two infants in Hunan province, one in Guangdong province and another in Sichuan province died after being inoculated with hepatitis B vaccine produced by Biokangtai, a company based in Shenzhen, according to the China Food and Drug Administration.
The center for disease control and prevention in Beijing, which stores and allocates vaccines to hospitals across the city, said it has stopped the use of all kinds of hepatitis B vaccine produced by Biokangtai.
