Zou Yu, a trainer for rescue dogs went to the earthquake-stricken areas with his two dogs in Sichuan on Sunday.
"Our dogs have rich experiences in finding trapped victims, so it's our duty to come to rescue immediately," said the young man from a private rescue dog training center in Baoding, Hebei province.
After hearing the earthquake, he prepared for the rescue immediately, selecting the best two dogs and asking more peers from other places in the province to come with him. He arrived at the airport of Chengdu at the noon and will march for areas in need as soon as they receive the approval for rescue.
"We cannot wait for any minute, the golden rescue time is towards the end," he said.
His training center, established in 2009, have performed several rescues including locating missing tourists among mountains in Beijing. All the rescues they performed were free of charge. The money for running this center is from his saving and social donations.
