Citibank's Dalian branch will better serve its customers and contribute to the development of the local financial market and Northeast China's economic growth, a senior executive of Citi China said on Tuesday at the Citi Dalian branch relocation opening ceremony.

"The upgraded new Dalian branch, which is located at the city's Donggang Central Business District, incorporates smart banking branch features that will enhance customer experience, meet the diverse needs of corporate and individual clients in Dalian, as well as strengthen support for northeast China's economy," said Andrew Au, Chairman and CEO of Citibank (China) Co Ltd.

Au said Citi has been successfully expanding across multiple lines of business thanks to Dalian's growing economy.

Since its opening at Zhongshan Square in early 2008, Citi Dalian has been witnessing healthy growth and development, an increasing customer base, product capability and service enhancement, as well as employee growth.

To meet business expansion, Citi Dalian relocated to Donggang CBD. The new branch aims to offer comprehensive and high-quality financial products and services.

With two sub-branches and 119 employees, it offers a range of Renminbi and foreign currency products and services to multinational and local companies, Chinese residents and foreign nationals, said Zheng Lina, branch manager of Citi Dalian.
