First grape fest in Beijing opens to public

The first grape festival in Beijing officially opened its doors on Monday.

The festival will last for 45 days until Oct 8 at International Grape Expo Park, located in Beijing’s Yanqing county.

Buses have been specially assigned to take passengers to the grape festival.

During the festival, more than 1,000 varieties of grapes will be ready for visitors to try and buy. Other entertainment activities for families will also be held.

The shuttle will start at the bus 919 terminal in Deshengmen. It will travel to the expo park every hour from 8 to 10 am and return from 3 to 5 pm. The ride will cost 12 yuan ($2). The one-way trip will take about an hour and a half.
