Unrestricted power, unsupervised Party member not allowed in CPC
BEIJING -- Unrestricted power or any unsupervised Party members are not allowed to exist within the Communist Party of China (CPC), said a statement released after a key CPC meeting on Thursday.
Supervision is the fundamental guarantee for exercising power properly, as well as a crucial measure for strengthening and regulating political life within the Party, according to the communique of the sixth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, which ran from Monday to Thursday.
Party organizations and leading officials must not hide violations of Party discipline and laws, or problems reported by Party members, and must deal with such issues in a timely manner, said the communique.
It added that leading officials involved in issues reported should not participate in, intervene or meddle with investigations.
