China's capital city will build 1,000 kilometers of greenways in the coming five years to ease air pollution, the Beijing municipal government said.
Minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang said Thursday that China hopes to use new technologies from foreign countries to tackle its own problem of air pollution.
China will spend 350 billion yuan ($56 billion) by 2015 to curb air pollution in major cities, the environmental watchdog said on Wednesday.
