An option for V-Day(That's Shanghai)
Updated: 2008-02-11 09:26 Lost Heaven might be the ultimate first-date restaurant. The ambiance here couldn't be more romantic: the rich crimson walls and dark wood furniture are seductive, and ethnic accents lighten what might otherwise be a somber interior. Further, the exotic Yunnanese fare provides ample conversation fodder. We began with a fresh serving of cold tofu with eggplant, topped with burnt garlic (RMB 40) and a starchy, unexpectedly creamy preparation of papaya salad (RMB 50). Next, the Miao hot and sour prawns (RMB 70) and chicken with seven spices (RMB 60) were both flavorful and wonderfully light. Note that a meal here is affordable - so even if the date is a complete disaster, you can at least console yourself with memories of a satisfied palate at a good price. Lost Heaven |
