Thai artist's show

An artist from Thailand, Paramat Leung-On, is featured at LWH Gallery in April. Paramat chose to be trained in classical Thai painting techniques as he wishes to preserve the country's cultural heritage. He spent his earlier years painting murals for many temples around Thailand, when he developed an interest in Buddhism. The meditative environment spurred him to reflect and think about the many stories and teachings of Buddha, laying the spiritual foundation for his artworks.

Canto-pop stars' new tour

Canto-pop singer-actors Alan Tam Wing-lun, 67, and Hacken Lee Hak-kan, 47, have shared the stage in more than 100 shows since 2003, when they teamed up to tour the world with their concert Left Alan, Right Hacken. Now, they are celebrating their 10th anniversary with a new world tour, which will come to Beijing in May, performing their classic Cantonese and Mandarin songs.

Abstract artist

Pearl Lam Gallery is hosting a solo exhibition of Sun Junjun. The 20 oil paintings were all created in 2013, and feature contrasting colors and complicated layers of imagery. Sun used to study under visual illusionist Larry Poons in New York, and since 1988, she has been dedicated to abstract art. Her art is characterized by sharp intuition and a sensibility for colors, enhanced by disciplined technical training. The contradiction, complexity and tension in her paintings have made her stand out from traditional abstract art, according to curator Gao Minglu.
