Li Donghua works for the China Writers Association, and in her spare time, she writes for children. Her works have been translated into foreign languages and won prizes. Born in the 1970s, Li said she writes whatever touches her.
Li believes it's a golden era for children's writing in the country. "Children's reads take up 21 percent of the whole Chinese book market, and about 520 Chinese publishers are doing children's books."
