Chinese Consul General to Sydney Li Huaxin stated he is confident that the China Pavilion provides Australians with a chance to appreciate Chinese culture and understand Chinese development. Li also said he believes that the China Pavilion will have a positive effect on the cooperation and relationship between the two countries.
Speaking on behalf of UTS, Peter Booth said, "The relationship between University of Technology, Sydney and China is well-established. We are very privileged to jointly establish the China Pavilion on our campus. The design of the China Pavilion combines artistic aesthetics and high-tech elements, and the advanced electronic equipment here is particularly impressive. We can acquire knowledge here, but also relax here. I believe that the China Pavilion can strengthen the relationship between our two countries."
In addition to providing access to a variety of publications, China's State Council Information Office also provided reading devices for the China Pavilion. Moreover, China's State Council Information Office will continue to provide the newest Chinese publications to the China Pavilion through 2015.
