Nine features from among those submitted for consideration in the Academy Awards' Best Foreign Language Film category have advanced to the next round of voting, it was announced on Friday.
The shortlisted films are "Accused (Lucia de B.)" (Netherlands), directed by Paula van der Oest, "Corn Island" (Georgia), directed by George Ovashvili, "Force Majeure" (Sweden), directed by Ruben stlund, "Ida" (Poland), directed by Pawe Pawlikowski, "Leviathan" (Russia), directed by Andrey Zvyagintsev, "The Liberator" (Venezuela), directed by Alberto Arvelo, "Tangerines" (Estonia), directed by Zaza Urushadze, "Timbuktu" (Mauritania), directed by Abderrahmane Sissako and "Wild Tales," (Argentina), directed by Damián Szifrón.
