Harry Potter author JK Rowling has apologized for the death of one of the characters in the final Harry Potter book.
Over the weekend Rowling apologized on her Twitter account for the death of character Fred Weasley during the Battle of Hogwarts in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Rowling said she chose to apologize over the weekend as it marked 17 years since the battle took place. She explained that she would apologize for one death every anniversary and therefore she chose the worst death first which was Fred Weasley.
Many fans of the book were upset at how the series came to an end and have criticized the writer's decision to kill off many characters.
