Yu Fangze uses straws to make a dragon in Hukou county, East China's Jiangxi province. It took the 70 year old and his daughter four months to weave the dragon out of 83,600 pieces of straw. The dragon, composed of 11 parts, is 27.8 meters long and 35 kilograms heavy. Yu is a State-recognized expert in straw dragon making, which is a national-level intangible cultural heritage.
