Investment fair aids cultural industries

Themed with "New finance, new capital and new trend", the 6th Futian Investment and Financing Fair was staged in Shenzhen on May 16.

Integrating cultural enterprises, multi-level finance and capital markets, the fair aimed to help cultural industries negotiate new channels to promote themselves through the Internet.

With the focus on "Cultural finance towards the new century" and "Opportunities for cultural finance in the age of the Internet", the fair attracted more than 30 financial institutes and nearly 260 enterprises.

For the past several years, Futian has risen to become a home to fast-growing companies in creative design, advertising, new media, information services and state-of-the-art printing.

Last year the added value of Futian’s cultural industry reached 23.671 billion yuan (US$3.82 billion), an increase of 10.7 percent year on year. It also represents 8 percent of the district’s GDP.
