David Der-wei Wang

David Der-wei Wang, PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Wisconsin, professor of Harvard University, and noted literature critic, is a leading figure of overseas modern and contemporary Chinese literature study.

His research interests include modern and contemporary Chinese literature, late Qing fiction and drama, and comparative literary theory. He will discuss ways to appreciate Peking Opera from the perspective of Chinese literature as well as the artistic achievements of Zhang Huoding.
