China launches book month in US capital

Coinciding with President Xi Jinping's visit to the US are many cultural and side events. One is Chinese book month, which launched in Washington D.C. on Thursday and runs until October 16.

The activity is at Politics and Prose, a small book shop with a big influence in the US capital. In the store where US presidents, both former and current, buy books, Xi's books on Chinese governance and one of its central themes, the Chinese dream, are in a prominent place.
