Obama look-alike embarks on silver screen career

A Chinese man, Xiao Jiguo, is hoping to embark on a movie career as a low-ranking gangster who looks like US President Barack Obama, foreign media reported.

Xiao, from Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province, has been cast in a detective comedy called Huo Bao, scheduled for release next year.

His character, Black Prince Charming punches the main character in a fight scene.

Xiao told Daily Mirror "My character is not the real Obama, but a low-level gangster.

"So when my boss tells me to beat people up, I'd do it," he added.

The 29-year-old Xiao has made appearances as an Obama impersonator and given speeches, even though his English is not very good.

"My English is bad. So when I go on stage to speak, I speak in a mix of real English and fake English. I make it up as I go," he said.

Coincidentally, Xiao shares a blood type with Obama, and his birthday is only one day apart from the US president's.

Xiao did various jobs, including working in a factory and as a security guard for almost 10 years before becoming an entertainer.
