Megadeth to play in Beijing, Shanghai

American thrash metal band Megadeth will tour China for the first time, performing in Beijing on Oct 6 and Shanghai on Oct 8.

The iconic band from Los Angeles, California, was formed in 1983 by former Metallica guitarist Dave Mustaine and bassist David Ellefson.

The band is referred to as one of the "big four" in thrash metal along with Anthrax, Metallica and Slayer, thanks to their achievement in promoting and popularizing the genre.
