Zhen Wen, cultural counselor of the Chinese embassy addressed that promotion of cultural industries have become a common concern to China and South Africa, on which both sides will have more cooperation in the future, taking this forum as a new starting point.

Monica Newton, deputy director of the Department of Arts and Culture of South Africa said that cultural exchange and cooperation play an important role in bilateral relations, and the China-Africa Cooperation Forum will be held in December in South Africa as well. She believed that the booming small and medium-sized creative enterprises in South Africa and government’s new promotional policies have laid a good foundation for the partnership on cultural industries.
