"The amber was part of a pendant ornaments. You can clearly see insects inside. Unquestionably, it is so precious that even ordinary nobles couldn't afford. It is a new evidence to corroborate that the owner of the tomb might be the first Marquis of Haihun," said a member of the archeological team to Jiangxi local media.
The team also used high-tech equipment to tests the remains of the funeral objects. They identified some remains in the corner of the main coffin chamber belonging to a lacquer container for sacrificial offerings this week. Although mortified, exquisite patterns still can be seen on some of the remains.
