Zhang Ziyi to star in cross-cultural comedy East/West

Chinese superstar Zhang Ziyi is set to star in a cross-cultural comedy titled East/West.

According to Universal Pictures, the film will be directed by Jason Winer, the creator of Modern Family, Life in Pieces and The Crazy Ones.

The script will be penned by the same writers behind We Hate Paul Revere and New Girl.

Zhang is reported to serve as producer for the film.
