Ding Qing, on behalf of the China Cultural Center in Cairo, presented about 80 books and audio-visual products as a gift to the Archaeology School. Haddad showed Ding around the museum on campus. The Arab radio of Egypt and Al-Ahram followed the whole event.
On May 24, at the invitation of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, Yu gave another lecture at the youth reading club. Yu elaborated on the diplomatic intercourse along the ancient Silk Road, and commented on how to prosper both China and countries under the Belt and Road Initiative could revitalize the ancient Silk Road.
