Having wowed audiences in China back in 2012 and 2013, Canadian pop punk band Simple Plan will return to China with live shows in Huiyuan Space of Beijing on Aug 28, and two shows at Shanghai's Mercedes-Benz Arena on Aug 30 and 31.

The shows come in support of the band's newly released album, Taking One for the Team, which is its fifth studio album since the band's birth in 1999, according to promoter AEG Live Asia.

The upcoming tour promises to bring Simple Plan in a big way. Fans will get a chance to rock along to new tracks and sing along to their classics.

With vocalist Pierre Bouvier, drummer Chuck Comeau, bassist David Desrosiers, guitarists Sebastien Lefebvre and Jeff Stinco, Simple Plan are known for pop punk hits such as Welcome to My Life and Jet Lag.

The new album sees the band's music style ranging from reggae, such as Singing in the Rain, to heartfelt ballads, like Perfectly Perfect.
