A new player in China's burgeoning movie market, jewelry firm I Do Culture Corp recently announced its strategic cooperation with some American studios.

In recent years, the company has invested in a series of films, including Eternal Moment starring Xu Jinglei, I Do starring Li Bingbing, and Meet Miss Anxiety starring Zhou Xun.

Shi Feng, co-founder of the company, said in Beijing on Friday that the company will invest in more movies in the next two years, covering action, sci-fi and romance.

Lorenzo Soria, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which hosts the annual Golden Globe Awards, said the Chinese company will assist the awards to hold a forum connecting Chinese and American filmmakers.

Soria also said that a project to repair and protect China's old films with historical significance will be started by both sides.

Hong Kong-based filmmaker Jingle Ma, who was also present at the media event, said he will team up with the company to prepare the action thriller American Raiders, part of a franchise.
