The first Chinese Contemporary Arts and Crafts Biennale has opened at the National Museum of China.
Organized by Chinese National Academy of Arts and Chinese Center for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, the exhibition presents some 1,000 jade, ivory and wooden sculptures, ceramics, metal art, lacquer work, embroidery, textiles and furniture.
A seminar on the development of Chinese arts and crafts will also be held.
The biennale will close on May 6.
