Ink painter Liu Zhenxia's first solo show in 30 years. |
Liu Zhenxia, a 75-year-old ink painter from Suzhou, Jiangsu province, is holding his first solo show in 30 years at National Art Museum of China.
Liu carved out his name as an innovative ink painter in the early 1980s but he refused to sell his works at that time. Instead, he has since then lived as a hermit in the southern city, focusing on honing his skills. Now he is making a comeback with his latest creations.
