Zhang Hongyan, renowned pipa recitalist and professor of the Central Conservatory of Music will give a performance on the occasion of the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, presenting traditional Chinese songs and experimental music by young Chinese composers. Combining western music and Chinese folk music, Zhang has appeared with symphony orchestras, such as the China National Symphony Orchestra at world-famous concert halls, such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The coming show will also see pianist Pan Xun and String Instruments Ensemble of Central Conservatory of Music under the baton of Chen Bin.
