The Mongolian horses in photographer Li Gang's lens are free, energetic and full of life, running and chasing each other on the vast snow-covered prairies of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region. They scream as they run, churning up a blast of snow in their wake. Li's 41 photos in the exhibition Snowfield Horses show the animals in winter on the white grassland. For seven years, Li has followed the horses, composing photos with skillful use of color and shading to create breathtaking art images that look like oil paintings.
9 am-5 pm, until May 14. National Art Museum of China, 1 Wusi Dajie, Dongcheng district. 010-6400-1476.
