Recently, Changsha Houhu International Zone signed a creative agreement with the academician (first-grade professor) from Rome Academy of Arts. The Sino-Italy Modern Art Exchange Center is reportedly to be established in 2015 to bring the excellent artists, international trends as well as brand-new techniques, skills and ideas throughout the world to the zone.
Houhu will set up 10 foreign national pavilions covering an average area of 2,000 square meters. The pavilions function as an exhibition, work, life, and exchange center, where international artists can conduct creation and business. Four international pavilions of Italy, Austria, UK and Russia will be established and put into use in 2015, and the other 6 will be completed in 2016. Additionally, great efforts will be made to reform and establish a 5,000-square-meter Public Art Gallery (Houhu Art Gallery), an international art exhibition center.
